English star Alex Hales, who’s also the part of PSL franchise Karachi Kings, has denied all rumors suggesting he’s been tested positive for the coronavirus. He tweeted that people should “stop spreading fake news”.
The remarks came from the right-handed batsman after a journalist took to Twitted citing Gulf News as saying that Alex Hales has fallen prey to the novel coronavirus.
Responding to his tweet, the English cricketer tweeted saying: “Stop spreading fake news, [this is] dangerous behavior.”
The said journalist later had to delete his tweet as it spread inaccurate and unconfirmed news about Alex Hales.
It’s important to mention that while Alex Hales doesn’t have the infection yet, he’s been practicing self-isolation since he returned home from the PSL and showed some of the symptoms of COVID-19.
After this little episode, Hales also issued a complete statement of clarification that said that even though the Englishman does have a few symptoms like dry cough and fever, he’s not been tested positive for coronavirus yet.
