Even though we are in the middle of the league stage of the tournament and nothing has been finalized yet, we can tell which teams have progressed wonderfully so far in the tournament. Obviously, those with the highest winning percentage can be expected to progress to the next round too. At least, they’ll have a strong chance to get there.Currently, Chattogram Challengers are placed on top of the points table but they have already played 7 matches in the league, at least 2 more than any other team. They have 10 points so far with 5 wins and 2 losses.

6Rangpur Rangers 12 5 7 0 0 10 -0.826 1737/236.0 1887/230.3
7Sylhet Thunder 12 1 11 0 0 2 -0.822 1821/240.0 1815/215.5

The best stats so far go to Rajshahi Royals who have played the least number of matches so far. They are placed second with 6 points, winning 3 of their 4 matches.

There’s an interesting tie between Royals, Khulna Tigers, and Dhaka Platoon as they all have 6 points after 3 victories in the tournament. However, Tigers and Platoon are placed 3rd and 4th on the points table respectively due to lower NRR. They have both played 5 matches so far in the league stage.

Next on the list are Comilla Warriors. They are placed 5th on the points table with 4 points having won 2 of their 5 matches so far.

Sylhet Thunder and Rangpur Rangers are placed lower down the points table with 2 points each. Sylhet are placed 6th due to a better NRR than Rangers. They have both played 5 matches each and have managed to win only 1.

As it appears, Royals, Tigers, Platoon and Challengers are the strongest contenders to finish in the top 4 and qualify for the next stage of the tournament. Nevertheless, we still have a lot of cricket to be played and you never know which of the remaining teams can come up with a surprise. Let’s wait for the group stage to end and see how the Points Table shapes up in the latter part of the tournament. Stay tuned, and have fun!
