Dozens Of Indians Detained At The Attari Border On Their Return From Pakistan After PSL Coverage

Indian immigration personnel have detained the reporters at the Attari-Wagah border on their return from Pakistan after covering the Pakistan Super League 2020 in Pakistan.

According to the details, around 29 reporters were returning back home the other night through the Attrari-Wagah border land transit route. Soon as they reached India after clearance from the Pakistani Immigration, however, the Indian immigration staff detained them.

Earlier, these reporters had flown from New Delhi to Dubai before eventually reaching Pakistan for the PSL 2020 coverage. The event came to an abrupt end amid coronavirus outbreak and these reporters then decided to return back to Indian.

The PCB had postponed the PSL 5 event on Tuesday effective immediately. The decision followed after an overseas player, after already leaving Pakistan a couple of days ago, was found with symptoms of the COVID-19.

“This ” is absolutely the right thing to do after an overseas player, who will be tested in his country shortly, has shown symptoms of COVID-19,” the PCB Chief said.

Later, with Ministry of Home Affairs in India intervening into the matter, these media personnel were cleared.
