In his recent live session, Babar Azam has clarified that he is still loyal to Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League, and doesn’t plan to leave his franchise in the bid to play for Lahore Qalandars – his hometown club.
Chatting live on Instagram with the Test captain Azhar Ali, Pakistani star batsman cleared the air responding to a question about if he’d like to be part of the Qalandars for the upcoming PSL editions.
“One should not leave the team they have been playing for. I have been playing for Karachi Kings from the start so I should stick with them,” Babar answered.
“Just because I am performing well doesn’t mean that I should keep changing my team,” he added.
Lahore Qalandars haven’t had the best of experiences yet with their local players in the five editions of the Pakistan Super League. Sometimes things went good while on other occasions they didn’t have much luck. Their recent finds with the likes of Haris Rauf, Dilbar Hussain, and Sohail Akhtar have done pretty well though.
