PSL 5 Draft Silver Category Picks

With squads nicely shaping up, it’s time for the franchises to make their Silver Category picks. Even though there won’t be any heavy-weights in this round, there will be many useful cricketers picked by the franchises in this round.

Quetta Gladiators have gone with Sohail Khan as their first pick in this category. He’s represented Pakistan over the years and makes a great selection.

Peshawar Zalmi have picked Mohammad Mohsin as their first pick in the silver category. The batsman has had a great run

Multan Sultans have picked Pakistan’s middle order batsman Khushdil Shah in the Silver round. He joined the Pakistan squad recently and will be a key player in the middle order for Sultans.

Lahore Qalandars made the next pick in the Silver round with Sri Lankan leg-spinner and a hard-hitter Seekkugge Prasanna coming to their squad.

Exciting Phil Salt goes to Islamabad United as they make their first pick in the Silver Round. He’s quite an asset with the bat and is enjoying great form with the bat lately. Let’s see how good he proves to be for his side.

Karachi Kings have picked Mohammad Rizwan yet again as they go on to make their Silver Pick. His recent form in Test matches was great and he will play a key part for Kings in the PSL 5 as well.

PSL 5 Draft Silver Category Round 2

Islamabad United have the next pick in the Silver Round and they have chosen Zafar Gohar – the left-arm spinner – who has previously represented them as well.

Lahore Qalandars have chosen Ben Dunk in their next Silver pick. He has enjoyed great credibility in the T20 leagues and will be a perfect choice for Qalandars in the middle order.

Zalmi have picked Pakistan left-arm fast bowler Rahat Ali in the Round 2 of Silver category. Rahat has enjoyed great success at the international level and a shift to a new franchise will given him a great opportunity to show his bowling skills.

Karachi Kings go for Umaid Asif as their next Silver Round pick. The right-arm pacer played for Peshawar Zalmi last year and will have new bosses this time around.

In their next pick in the Silver Round, Multan Sultans have picked the leggie Usman Qadir who has been impressive with the ball for some time in the domestic circuit. He was picked in the Pakistan squad lately as well and will be an interesting choice for Multan in the upcoming PSL edition.

Quetta Gladiators have again gone for Tymal Mills and his pace and variations will bring great value to the Gladiators in the upcoming edition of PSL.

PSL 5 Draft Silver Category Round 3

Quetta Gladiators had the first pick in Round 3 of Silver Category. They have gone with Abdul Nasir, a relatively newer name, for their third pick in the Silver Round.

For their next pick in the Silver Category Round 3, Karachi Kings have chosen leg-spinner Dan Lawrence. Let’s see what he brings to the table.

Lahore Qalandars have gone with Farzaan Raja in their next round pick.

Peshawar Zalmi had the next Silver pick and they have gone with the South African Dwaine Pretorious in this round.

In their next pick in the Silver Category, Multan Sultans have picked the Caribbean Fabian Allen. He’s quite an intelligent bowler and can swing his bat too.

PSL 5 Draft Silver Category Round 4

The next pick for Peshawar Zalmi in the Silver Round landed them Adil Amin. The batsman has had a decent run with the bat lately and will make a difference with his presence in the Zalmi’s squad.

Ali Khan was the next pick for Karachi Kings in this round. It was quite an interesting pick for the Kings and will add value to their squad for sure.

To mark the end of Silver Round picks, Lahore Qalandars have chosen the rising domestic star Jaahid Ali. He’s been in the news lately and will be a great addition to Qalandar’s squad for sure.

The franchises have picked some good players in the Silver Category and we’ll see how things turn up for them in the upcoming edition and how their picks pay them off.
