Shadab Khan, Haider Ali, Haris Rauf Tested Positive For Coronavirus

The PCB confirmed on Monday that three of their players – Shadab Khan, Haider Ali, and Haris Rauf – tested positive for coronavirus during the first round of testing ahead of the England tour.

The PCB press release said that the players had no evident symptoms until the tests were taken on Sunday in Rawalpindi.

The medical panel of the board is in touch with the players and they’ve been advised to self-isolate immediately.

Usman Shinwari and Imad Wasim, who were also tested in Rawalpindi, have been reported negative for the novel coronavirus and will be likely to reach Lahore on June 24.

Other players as well as team officials, excluding Shoaib Malik, Waqar Younis, and Cliffe Deacon, were also tested in Lahore, Karachi, and Peshawar. According to PCB, their results will likely be arriving on Tuesday.

Shadab, Rauf, and Haider’s positive tests would mean that it’s highly unlikely for them to leave for England with the rest of the team. PCB is yet to make a call on whether or not replacements will be named for them.
